I purchased my 700w model when I went off to school in 1989, and have used it nearly every day for 35 years. It probably takes 30 seconds longer to heat up my coffee than most folks' microwaves, but if I have to endure that terrible, terrible burden in exchange for an expected half century or so of use, so be it. Plus, as a bonus, I didn't have to buy 'retro' - it became retro all on its own!

I've used a 700wtt micro with my family for 20+ years. Works fine as it's mainly for heating left overs or quick meals for kids

I've got a 700w microwave - if I put a frozen meal in it for 15 minutes, I'll be needing a fire extinguisher and a new microwave. If it was taking you 15 minutes, your microwave was defective and was not putting out the advertised 700w. The standard they seem to use for time instructions is 1100W, so just add 50%. 4 minutes frozen meal should take no more than 6min.

Guys, there's conversion tables on the internet for how to compensate for more heating time compared to higher wattage microwaves.

Our last one got replaced because my 11yo forgot to put liquid in his Cup Noodles. Small fire and a smell that couldn't be purged.

Stuff may be more disposable now than ever, but no company would survive on a 1-year replacement cycle. The sweet spot seems to be 7-10 years for most appliances, compared to 30+ years in the prior generation. There's both good and bad in that.
There are reports of this one dead out of the box.

Dude this is way too much info I've never had a microwave stop working on me in my entire life.
People are reporting this model dead out of the box or soon thereafter. I'm here to save money which includes avoiding purchasing substandard products just because they are on sale. Cost of use factors in to purchase decisions for some of us. As of March we are now paying 47 cents per kWh with further increases on the way. More folks are considering the hidden cost of their buying habits. As a person who suffers from information overload please consider taking ownership of your personal responsibility to limit what you read.

I'm not seeing the free shipping option. Instead, it requires $79 minimum and then charges $79 shipping.

I'm logged into MyLowe's and have Silver Key Status and military discount active in my account. Though, I don't see the military discount applied to the order either.

Pickup is not available likely due to the SlickDeals effect. Any ideas how to get the free shipping?

Try different areas at your location, to find a store with stock. I had to seek an area about 20 miles from me, to find one store in stock.

See attached.
