none of these are wide, I have tried the "wide" options listed and the "normal" they're very thin and can hurt the arch of your foot until you spend over 30+ intense days exercising to stretch these, then the toe box can still hurt your nails, press your toes unhealthily together. unless you have narrow feet, stay far away from these sneakers. the last two groups of options also fall apart very quickly.

Yep, cheap wide width sneakers are generally terrible. I stick with Brooks Addiction or Nike Air Winflo.

how are new balance wides? my mom has wide feet, hard to get right shoe size + width

Fwiw as running shoes (3 to 5 miles per day) I haven't been happy with an adidas with a SRP less than $100. These might be fine for walking or daily wear, but as actual running shoes I'm skeptical

Also speaking from direct experience, the plastic eyelets break. When the top ones go you have doorstops.
