The new burgers they use suck. The old ones they had for years and years were so good. I asked the store manager when I last went and she told me it was really to cut costs, they went to a less lean, cheaper cut of beef that allowed it to be "juicier" aka more fat and slightly bigger bc its a crappier cut. It doesnt taste near as good. Same for the bun and cheese she said, both were swapped out and Red Robin claimed it was for taste but as always it was to save a buck. Then they only bring you about 8 fries at a time so you are having to reorder another 8 fries over and over which is a bit annoying but they are still good.

Last time I tried their bottomless fries and they sucked. Only brought out a bit of fries initially and only really came by once to refill them. Never heard or seen the waitress again to even ask for drinks or fries. Even have to chase them down for a check. That makes the bottomless fries pointless. Not to mention the soggy fries that sat all day in a bin.

Normal price at my location is $13.99 so this is a $4 savings. Though at normal menu prices you can get a tavern double for $9.79 including bottomless fries so this doesn't seem like that big of deal. Still nice to see discounts from Red Robin. They used to have a good loyalty program but it's gone downhill in recent years.

It's entertaining to read what some people want for a $10 burger.

Lets see...Mcdonald's "better" burgers are starting to push $6.50-$8.50.

But we consumers want Red Robin to be able to offer a $10 burger, pay the servers, pay the rent for eating space, have a loyalty program, use better meats, be more attentive to you at the table......OK, Seems reasonable.

Red Robin is great for a quick bite, slightly above going to Mcdonalds. It's not going to rock anyone's world, and anyone who has gone knows that. If you want all those other things, maybe go somewhere more expensive?
Lol, so because of inflation and high Fast food prices, we should bend over and expect to pay more: "just go somewhere more expensive"... I disagree!

I have Red Robin near my home in socal less than 5 miles away from me. But there are also much better burger options that truly taste better and have sourced better ingredients than this overpriced establishment such as In N Out having overall better quality ingredients and taste + cheaper by far.

There are some other options too like The Habit which have great burgers - can't speak on the quality of ingredients but taste is great.

It's all subjective therefore to each their own.

Went to SoCal last month with someone who had a birthday reward ($4.99 burger). We went during happy hour and got a pizza, the pretzel bites, and milkshakes (I also got a drink) and it was like $40 total (pre-tip—make sure to always tip on pre-discounted rates, the server isn't doing less work). The food was great imo

I don't think it's too much to ask for things to be as good as they were 4 years ago. Anyone who was an adult prior to 2020 can think back to clean restaurants, good service, quality food, while still being affordable. Tolerating mediocrity brings more mediocrity.

I concur with the comments that you have to chase the wait staff to get the bottomless fries.

Drinks add around $5 so just get water if you want to stay on budget.

Overall you go there for the ambiance.

I did find the quality of burger like meh...

I probably would go for the onion rings tower...

For those who likes to eat at RR, don't forget to buy gift cards for a further discount. Gift cards at 20% off is the best I have seen when available. Unless combined with other percentage cashback (ie. Discover Card).

No thanks PASS. Too much works for hunting down the waiters/waitresses. Have a feeling they were was playing hide & seek with customer. Not worth it people.

Yes, that is true. You never see the waitress after they bring you the food. And if you need something else or have a question Just forget about it. Don't bring the bill and you leave and never get your bottomless fries. I never went back.It wasn't worth the hassle. Abd I have been to 3 different locations in Central Florida.

I tried a burger at my local socal red robin. The burger was underwhelming. I was charged an extra .99 cents for grilled onions and an additional 2.99 for garlic fries. This nickle and diming is not what I am use to from red robin.

All our RR closed following the pandemic. The closest to San Diego is now in Temecula, which is 50 miles North. RR went down hill somewhere and never came back. Their fries are available in the freezer section of many supermarkets and come out great in an air fryer.
Closer one is in National City or Escondido to San Diego, do not need to go to Temecula. the UTC on closed a few years ago when the mall jacked up the rent.

I used to go regularly once or twice a month to hang with a close friend. We would average $25-$30 per person, burger/entree plus drink and tip. Since that friend moved away, I went back once for a birthday burger which was when I found out they had made significant changes to the loyalty program where now you have to spend a lot more to get any rewards. I'm a bit mixed feelings on Red Robins, used to be a great place to hang with great food yet now not sure how I feel about them since the quality of food and service has gone downhill.

Maybe it's your location. I just had their Whiskey River BBQ cheeseburger the other day and it was delicious.
