It's a device that plugs into your phone and burns the mosquito bites. It's actually rated as a medical device in Germany. We've been using it for about a year now and it's fantastic. If you get to the bites early, they won't ever itch again. If you've been scratching it sometimes, you do need to apply another treatment or 2 over a few days, but once you use the device, it stops itching for at least a few hours. We have multiple friends who ended up buying them after using ours.and because it plugs into your phone no need to worry about recharging it.
It's about $40 and sometimes goes down to $35 but so so worth it.
If you're not sure, try using a hot spoon, an iron on a low enough setting (obviously not hot enough to burn you). That's how I started testing it, with an iron, and then I decided to buy it from REI with 20% off coupon, so if it didn't work, I could take it back.
We have 2. One on each of our keychains.

I bought another one on Amazon and finally got this one.

The heat stays on for longer than my old device, the surface area is bigger, and it's easily used by anyone. It gets really hot on option B and C though. I normally use option A I think it might be a bit dangerous if kids get their hands on it.
For me, this device is quick and makes mosquito bites more bearable. I can't imagine plugging something to my phone, opening an app and being careful about the pressure/placement at night. Sometimes I find myself scratching at night. It's only around 15-20 bucks but it doesn't look like it's for sale anymore but I'm sure Amazon has a bunch of the same style.
