It's $15 more from them on eBay but comes with a 5yr warranty. Not sure this comes with a warranty.

It's wild how fast the prices are coming down on these "refurbished" data center drives. This is what they were charging for the 6TB models a couple of years ago! Now the 12TBs have dropped to a fairly steady $75-80, and this will probably be the new price for the 14TBs, after they've been hovering around $110-120 for the last 6 months or so.

Just had my first hard drive from goharddrive fail on me (this exact one). Failed in two months. GHD is warranting it no problem but I don't have a lot of faith in this model

That's unfortunate. Just out of curiosity did you do any sort of destructive or even a surface level disk sector test on the drive? What were the result if so? Also, did it show any signs in the days before failure? I have a few drives from SPD and GHD. I run extensive test the days after I recieve them. I'm just curious if the failures mentioned are from people who deploy them without testing first or if they just crap out despite having the drives checked for bad sectors/errors and resulting in none.

I just bought another 12tb seagate from them. I've only ever had one that arrived dead but none that have fail me after initializing and testing.

These have been hitting FP with 20-30 TU with same price over past few months.
Is there a reason this isn't getting that kind of love?

I did. I do a full test on every drive I receive. It passed with no issues. I'm blanking on the name of the pc software I use in this moment, but it constantly monitors the drive. It flagged this drive after about 2 months of moderate use as being "near failure." I ran another sector test and it failed. I use a terramaster external storage on a shelf I don't touch with plenty of anti vibration dampening. Not quite sure what went wrong. Guessing luck of the draw, since I have like 15 more refurb hard drives currently in service that don't have any issues.

I think it's just that the $/TB is higher on the 14TB. Which is usually true for any drive s the size goes up. Still a good deal though!
