Amazon sells this stuff cheap once the Use By date is less than 6 months away. Technically it's not expired, but it will be before you use it all.

To be clear... this stuff has a Use By date, not a Sell By or Best Before date. I guess it'll be okay to use beyond its expiry, but I don't know for sure.

I'm also not sure why they call this Extra Strength when 5% is the recommended potency.

For those who prefer the foam version of this, it often goes on sale with the same caveats.

I've been buying this through Amazon for almost 10 years…average 6mo price is about $30, so it's a good deal.

I still haven't gotten one that's close to expiring or appears to be counterfeit. I'd be a little surprised if there's much of a market for counterfeit off-brand* products in the first place. Sell it as Rogaine and make 5x the profit Smilie

Finasteride, once but never again…it can mess with hormones. Like using chemotherapy to get rid of a mole.

*yes, Costco Cultists, Kirkland is a private label and I'mma call it "off brand"

used Minox for beard growth in 2 spots.
Thank God, my results went up exponentially when I did DermaStamp (used roller previously, stamp gives better results and heals faster) + Minox at night and used Peppemint Oil concoction in the morning.
In fact there are studies that show PEO has same results as Minox for hair growth, with far less side effects or essentially none in many cases. (my heart palpations went away over time. but I did suffer from sleep issues) .

overall , for new users, i would recommend buying 1 bottle and see how your body reacts and if you can get used to it. but do look into Peppermint oil + carrier oil mix with derma stamp , these are super underrated. God bless.

Very good deal. Costco is oos right now and it charges 5.99 for shipping on the same price. You can get in store for 17.99 but why when amazon has free shipping. Slick deal! Thanks

Tried fin once, within one day I had no interest in women anymore 🤷🏻. Fortunately it came back when I immediately stopped.
It doesn't work like that... The effects of fin don't kick in at least until after several months of taking it

Highly recommend switching to oral min. So much easier and better results without any side effects.

it does work like that. Side-effects can kick in very quickly. positive effects can take over a year to be established.

You have to take something to offset the free testosterone issues. Usually Tongkat Ali.

Oral minoxidil is way more likely to cause side effects than topical.

Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after applying or touching your hair before petting your dog. Nearly killed my dog when he licked my face. I guess some minoxidil was rubbed on the side of my face from my pillow.

They have different mechanisms of action so you can use both. And that combo is really considered the gold standard in hair loss prevention, although I agree that fin is much more important

finasteride will make your free testosterone go up, not down. And I don't see how tongkat ali would particularly help with potential 5AR inhibitor sides, in theory it would raise your DHT slightly if there is more test floating around to 5 alpha reduce, but TBH the research on that supplement is so thin anyways I wouldn't expect it to fix anything
