It must be dead. I see $89.
It's live.

You add it to the cart with the "free" battery offer on the page. Then you either cancel or return the battery and keep the charger for the prorated price.

They've been doing this option (the "hack") for years now and choose to keep allowing it, so get in on deals like this when they make sense for you. HD & TTI clearly don't care about people doing it, regardless of what some people seem to think about it.

Would be helpful if you gave more info on this deal. You have to add the battery to get the $49 price then try to return just the battery.
The description clearly says, "The 6 port charger is hackable after returning (or canceling) the battery."

Just tried returning the battery and my local Home Depot wouldn't allow without returning both items.

I ordered online for in store pick up and returned the battery while picking up the items. Try another associate or store? They're 2 separate line items, so not sure why they wouldn't return it.

Who is this for? If you don't already have 3-10 chargers you likely don't even have a use for this

I got in on the 7.5" fan earlier. It was hackable if I added the individual items to the cart(not 'add both' to cart through the special offer option). Once they're both in the cart the modified prices show up.

This was on android using the home depot app, while I was logged into my account.
A minute after placing the order, I was able to cancel the battery and the fan appears to have shipped by itself.

Yeah, Ryobi was never the "job site" brand either. The existence of this makes no sense. I wish Ryobi would just aim for their actual audience.
I have one of these, and will buy another now. You want 6 individual chargers plugged into 6 separate outlets or just one 6-port charger that you can carry?

I have about a dozen batteries, this will keep them all topped up.

What you need to do is instead of using your receipt, use the card you paid with to bring up the item. I think when you use your card to bring up the order it only shows the item, not the whole order, but when you show them the receipt, they see both items, thus have the ability to turn you away. I've had stores turn me down the same way, but only when I give them the receipt showing both items. I've never been turned away when using my card that I paid with as the receipt.

That all being said, I paid $60 for this thing back in Dec 22 with 2 2ah batteries, and although it's not simultaneous, it's at least a great way to organize your batteries.
