I almost wasn't going to post this to avoid getting reamed out over this deal being IN STORE ONLY YMMV, so this is more for awareness.

Brickseek isn't going to tell you much, other than if it's in stock in your store or not. If your store has this on clearance, the only way you'll have a chance is if it shows out of stock (on site & brickseek). You will then need to either physically go, or call to verify price and stock. obviously calling will tip off the associate. if you do call, ask exactly how many it shows in stock. 1 or 2 means it's on a shelf somewhere.

PSA: this is a crap shoot. I wouldn't go out of your way. if you happen to be near a lowes, great. otherwise you can risk calling because it's your best chance unless you have time to waste.

otherwise, $100 for the stacked lithium 10ah battery is justification enough to buy if you find one. think 10ah powerstack.

mine had the rear handle one for I think $140ish I have both and really like the rh a LOT more than the other, bought 2 just for the batteries

I hate when people post crap like this. It is not the stores decision to put items like this on clearance. The decision to put most clearance items on sale such as this, is the venders, not the store. Lowes as well as Home Depot do not buy nor own most of its inventory. They are placed in stores by venders, then venders will sometimes put items on clearance that have not sold good and just want to get the product out into the hands of the people, or they are no longer making that product, or are discontinuing older models and need to make room for newer inventory. If you want to help. list the store where you purchased it from, because 99% of the time. Almost never will two different stores have the same clearance items on sale, unless their proximity is close and served by the same vender, or it is a promotional clearance, then they will advertise it.

DIfferent model. 6 1/2 inline vs 7 1/4 rear handle. I have both getting it $42 and $97 respectively and see myself using the inline 6 1/2 more since it is lighter. I like that they are both blade left.

Checked local Lowe's in Phoenix. The Customer Service desk looked in the computer and almost every store's inventory in the Southeast valley showed "1". But they were only "clearanced" to $279. I asked if they'd price match another store's clearance price and was told "no". I don't know if it's because they can't. OR if they thought I was crazy for asking them to discount a $399 saw to $99....which I was.. but you can't blame a guy for not trying.
