Got it today. I got the Bloomin' Burger for $15 (would have been 14.49 otherwise) and the deal gave me an additional bowl of baked potato soup and a decent size piece of cheesecake for the extra 50 cents. The burger kind of sucked, but everything else was good.

Prices were 14.99/16.99/19.99 depending on what you got, and none seemed like much of a bargain. Where I am at least, prices at Outback have gone way up, and everything is so salty as to be toxic to eat. The things that I still enjoy are the fried mushroom appetizer, the Toowoomba Salmon, and the Bloomin' Onion (if you have enough people who want to share it). The "Outback Special" with the Sirloin used to be a great option and an awesome value, but their Sirloin, which used to be their best steak and the only place I ate a Sirloin, is total crap these days. And none of their other steaks measure up to the competing chains. The bread and butter is the best part.

Lol welcome to the American diet. I just came back from Thailand and its shocking how much salt is in EVERYTHING. You can immediately taste it. Salt is basically the way to make everything taste better, its cheap and easy. Takes zero skills and zero care. Its just to make money regardless what it does to your health.

Just my opinion - I don't think they salt things up primarily for taste, I think they do it so that the food takes longer to spoil.
