I bought this. It's a kids size backpack. Quality is ok for the price. It's not a $40 bag.
My time machine is in the shop...can I borrow yours

I have both. The Lenovo has better interior lining and internal pockets. The Targus has more pockets outside.

Padding on shoulder straps is slightly better on Lenovo.

Both are about the same and are great no frills throw around bags. I use it for laptop for work. Lasts maybe a year or so.

OP, Thanks.
The BestBuy website does pop up and auto-apply a 10% discount on Accessories, making the laptop $10.79 plus tax. I used my Oura ring sizer kit $10 promo gift cert on my purchase.

I used Targus packs from 2004 until about 2022. The great thing about then is that they have (had?) a lifetime guarantee that they actually honored. I had the pack I bought in 2004 replaced twice free in that time. For the latest replacement in 2022 i had to get a different style since they stopped making the bag style I bought in 2004, otherwise I'd still be using Targus as my daily bag. I'll mention, 2004-2022, I went from college to grad school to professor: I used the bag and it's free replacements hard and they held up.

Sorry, still having trouble traveling back in time. Any tips for bypassing the 4th dimension to obtain a deal no longer available?

You could wait for it to come around again. Folks providing their insights that other similar items have sold for less or same price in the past gives others a data point to decide if this deal is a good deal, or if they can wait and see if another one comes along. You're probably having a grade 5 backpack buying emergency right now though, or so it seems.

Why even have SD at all, when just 'wait' for a better deal for (insert any product) is the default reply Wink

Why have SD at all if 'just buy it right now regardless of price or other options' is the default reply? Shouldn't you be sitting in the cheerleader section?

Cheerleader? Naw fam, I'm still looking for that time machine. Ain't got the time to be sitting around cheering and waiting for long lost deals to reappear Wink

All jokes aside, no deal is a good deal if you measure it against every deal that ever existed. Oh yeah data points.

BTW, my grandfather used to compulsively talk about how cheap everything was when he was a kid, turns out he was just providing "dAtA pOiNtS" for comparison. All this time I thought it was grasping for an unreachable point between nostalgia and lost in yesteryear. He was in fact the OG slickdealer LMAO2

Swiss Tech a while ago was a better deal
It also weighed double than this bag. 3lb vs 1.22lbs. I am in market for a lighter backpack so will pick this one up.

It's on the small side but you could possibly use it for a 2 day trip with no laptop.
