It was an authorized Sony dealer and everything I could check out verified. But it's always good to be careful. Amazon has had their fair share of fakes, since they mix stock.

They're crap cheaply made fall apart about after a year, cheap plastic and microphone issues. I had wh3, and wh4 never buying these again

I run with these, they're way comfortable and cheaper/better than Airpod Max. The sound is great. I even work at Apple retail don't buy those overpriced fruit phones.
