I really want to like these. But doesn't the XM-4 have a bad hinge design problem?

After reading this, anything is better than Sony at least easy repairable (Example: Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 - ear cup glue issue can be replace new pad).

Could anyone owning this comment on the hinge issue? Is that a real concern? I have had the xm3 for a long time and absolutely no issues…

I had Bose QC15, 25, 35 and 700. This Sony's build quality is better, feels more premium. Sound if not better, at least is comparable to Bose.

There are different Bose QC models though, but I just picked plain QC

I have Bose QC45 and my wife has the Sony XM4. I think both are extremely good but isolation, but things like comfort and sound quality factor too. You can look at the Rtings reviews for each for more details, the reviews are very complete.
I am a truck driver and wear the Sony 8-10 hours a day. I have no complaints about the comfort.
