It's a mediocre PSU with 650W at a mediocre price. I don't know who this deal is for.

If you are into gaming you will probably want to spend just a bit more and get at least 850W to 1000W A-tier or B-tier while there are great deals on PSU. A good PSU can last over 10 years so you will save money from not having to upgrade again, less likely to fail, and higher power efficiency.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: MSI PSU happens to be the only PSU made by a motherboard manufacturing company. I used seasonic for 10 years then changed to MSI. Not this cheaper version though, and believe me if you don't use a 4080 GPU this 650W is ample for even your gaming. Remember this is Gold efficiency, I know it is all subjective but this PSU does contain good parts.

MSI doesn't manufacture power supplies per se. They partner with Channel Well Technology (CWT) which also manufactures some of Corsair power supplies.. (Corsair uses either Seasonic or CWT as partners)

Yes, generally get the best PSU you can afford, but its not advice for everyone. E-sports gamers and others with entry-level GPU (3060ti or 4060ti) will have plenty of headroom with a 650w PSU, if they don't plan to upgrade to a more powerful GPU in the future.

Been into computers before it was cool(25 years) nothing wrong with the PSU or even most any known brand. Just don't try and get a 550w and run a 4090 with a 14900k. This PSU would be enough for most combination of builds.

Been running 2 Thermaltake 650w Smart PSU's(considered low tier)everyday 4-8 hours of gaming most days for 4 years. The secret? I didn't put hardware in them that pushed them to the limit.

I picked up a Thermalright 650w Gold PSU with non modular cables for $37.xx. It's got more than enough headroom for my 7800x3d and 4070ti Super gaming rig. My case doesn't have a window so I couldn't care less about the ketchup and mustard cable pile.
