Nope because?

These are literally just, "customer returns". They don't inspect or test them. They don't even verify all the parts needed to run the machine are included.
It's extremely YMMV if you get a functioning unit out of the box.
"Shipping costs should be covered by the buyer in the following situations:
Customer issues (dislike, unwanted)
Returning products for any reason other than a proven defect
Buyer's accidental returns
Returning incorrect items
Returning items claimed to have defects but found by TWOTREES quality control to be in working condition
Returning defective items in international shipping
Costs associated with unauthorized returns (any returns made outside of the approved warranty process)"
Consumers don't typically like wasting money shipping something back that works. They are covering their butts with the 99% new comment. The laser was 100% used at least once. Pretty shady business practice.
I just put mine together, from the last sale this month, and it works great. The instructions are horrible and I had to redo installation a couple of times, but I just engraved my first piece with free LaserGRBL program and the driver. Perhaps search for an install video on YT. If you Google best laser engraver machines, Two Trees is on the top lists.
My background is electronic repair in the Air Force.

Translation, if you can fix the electronics in a F-35A, you can handle this engraver without much trouble.
I was also skeptical of the price and the 99% new however I set it up over the course of a few hours and it works like a charm on wood and cork. Planning many more projects
I've ordered from a company similar to this twice. Once, I got a box of parts that resembled a 3d printer, and another time, I got a 3d printer that I peeled the shrink wrap off.
Have to preface this by I check SD often but don't often buy, just looking scratches that itch for me. But when I saw this deal I jumped. If you are a tinkerer, 80$ is an insane deal for a laser engraver. I bought this machine last week, set it up on my coffee table over a couple hours while watching television, and engraved my coffee table. College dropout, three beers deep, quite high. If you can change your oil or install a hard drive on a computer, you can do this. Mine came with a manual with instructions, watched a youtube video for clarification on one part. Also isn't it common to pay shipping when returning an item? Worst that happens you need to contact company for spare parts or pay $12 in shipping, still way under the lowest price you can find these for.
I love buying tech refurbs and have a lot of gear I wouldn't be able to afford otherwise (full frame Sony DSLR, Galaxy watch and s22 Ultra a couple years ago, two 32" monitors, 4k projector, several HGST drives in my NAS, etc etc. all purchased at a fraction of msrp) What's any different than buying a used car? Wish people would stop being such efficient consumers, don't let these guys stop you from an affordable gadget and fun hobby. Cheers
