Why on earth would they make the handle red and green? I would curse them every time I reached into my bag.

To make it easily recognizable from the left cut

Seems to be widely available. So likely not really a deal at all.

I thought the question was why the handles aren't both green on the right-cut snips.

Really? You stopped what you were doing to add that? Which added nothing at all?

You're welcome

I bought this right-handed one in the last deal, and I had the same complaint. You responded to a question nobody asked: anybody who's used tin snips knows they're color coded. These are color-coded in an awkward way. There's no need to get defensive about it, except to remind me why I stopped posting.

Tried these to cut stainless gutter guards—they were awful. I defaulted to using an older Stanley Fatmax straight snips which worked. The Craftsman couldn't cut the aluminum screen rails. Now it sits in the kitchen utility drawer to open plastic blister packs.

As snips, they're trash.

Ordered these last week and they're good. I cut my chicken wire fencing with ease

I can't imagine why they did this either.

Seems really stupid.

I bought these a year ago and they are TRASH. They never cut well and frequently the metal slips between the blades (even after adjusting them).

I could never get these to give me a clean cut, I always ended up getting a rolled edge, most likely because of my grip. These have now become my cutters that I let others borrow instead of my Crescent ones 😆.

First time buyers beware!
Most people are not going to be able to use right cut snips. This is going to be backwards for you for most of the time.
