It is 5 years and unlimited miles from the original date of service. The original warranty is 4 years, hence the extra 1 year for CPO. Its quite confusing.

Many customers might assume that "Certified Pre-Owned (CPO)" vehicles come with an entirely new warranty. By stating "5-year unlimited mileage warranty" without clarifying that it includes the original warranty period, dealerships rely on customers' assumptions to make the offer seem more valuable.

Volvo CPO used to be better at 7 years 100k miles.

Their used cars are pretty good deals though. Interiors are beautiful.

I wish this was still the case. We bought a CPO XC60 and after the one year CPO ran out, been fixing issues left and right. Still love the car though.

Five year warranty is misleading; it starts from their "In-Service Date" which can be anything. I lost one year of coverage when I didn't pay attention to it (be sure to check yours).

I've heard that out of warranty repairs are expensive for Volvo.

Do you know if Volvo has the equivalent of Ford's ESP extended factory warranty where you can buy an extra X years of warranty as long as it is within the original warranty period?

They do! You can go on Steingold Volvo website to kinda get a feel for how much these warranties cost.

Not sure of the repair and reliability but these newer generation cars are complicated. They are all 4 cylinders with turbocharges, superchargers, and mild hybrid systems.

I have a previous generation car and they are more needy than a Japanese car but the service and repair costs haven't been bad. More expensive than Japanese or American cars but cheaper than the Germans.

If you're in the market for an xc40 recharge, Hertz is unloading them in well optioned trims with less than 10k miles for sub $30k.

Volvo is a nice car sure. But American Volvo dealers are something totally different.
Had an issue on my C40 and called nearest dealer for check up.

Mechanic wanted 200 dollars just to see what's wrong. These scumbag dealers and ridiculous pricing makes me regret going with a premium car.

Curious, if $2k credit brings the price of cert. used Volvo EV down below $25k, does this qualify for additional $4k used EV tax credit? Or is the selling price actually going to be $26,999 (just example) and $2k is considered part of "down payment"? (which will NOT bring the selling price below $25k thus not eligible for tax credit)

Saw couple of '21/'22 C40 Recharge just above $25k so was wondering.
