They are accurate to 1/32" or better at short range and 1/16" at max range. When used indoors, I usually use for room survey/ layout, trimwork, and exact-fitting renovation framing (vs. folding tape). I commend you greatly if your cutting skill is in the 1/64" order of magnitude. Mine is only in the 32nd's so my Bosch works pretty well for my purposes.

While I love my Bosch, there are quite a few Chinese brands online that have great reviews at a fraction of the cost. When my Bosch dies (this one has lasted over 5 years), I'll likely get an off brand model.

Yep. You can measure as accurately as you want but your cuts will still be off.

Local store showed two and actually had two. Advertisement hanging over the lasers advertised the free battery, but still showed normal price on the tag. Rang up on sale with the barcode scan via the app.
Checkout was full price but the battery was free. CS couldn't override without a manager. No manager in sight and none responded to the call. Two other people finally showed up. They said that they could only do one deal in the store, and this was probably just a website deal. I showed them the deal in the cart. They were giving the hard no sale. I said...so...I can just order this online and pick it up now?
So that's what I did. I had $20 to blow in reward money that expired in a week and nothing I really needed...including this laser, but it was a pretty good deal.
The whole process was just under 30 minutes waiting for someone who could give some form of an answer, and the store wasn't even crowded. My experience with Lowe's is that they are very inflexible with pricematching themselves and other Lowe's stores. Home Depot has been the opposite being very accommodating. Anywhoo....thanks for the deal post!

Those used to be indispensable for realtors, flooring guys and roofers but I see a lot of people navigated away from Bosch at the launch of the GLM165 which was very faulty. I personally bought one and had to return it, because it simply stopped working.
Maybe new models are better made, but still they are comparatively priced to other manufacturers who have rock solid hardware, good warranty and no track history of issues.

I tried the same, but they would not price match. They stated that "free items" (ie. the free battery that comes with this) are excluded from price matching.

I've been using a cheap Klein one that cost half as much. Could be a better choice if you rarely use it since it takes ordinary AA batterie, just pull the batteries when it's not in use and it will be good as new next time.

Downside is that it has a red laser which is much harder to see at a distance.

The game of CSR roulette. Providing you have the time, just fire up another chat and hopefully that CSR does it. I do it all the time with all different companies, just depends who you get on the other side.

I always try to mark the trim itself if possible; for interior joints it's not, but then I always cut about a 1/16 too long and shave it down for a tight fit.

Even if your measurements and cuts are perfect, the wood will shrink and grow (e.g. due to temperature and humidity changes) between the room your working in, and presumably outside where you're doing your cutting.

Measure twice, cut once...or measure once, cut twice...
