The rule of pixel is never buy on launch. Always black Friday. They consistently make launch seem like a good deal and undercut it on BF by $200. I write this on my P7, while planning an upgrade in November

FYI - for those ordering from the Google Store, I came across the promo code "supersafshort" on a Reddit thread that gives an extra $50 off. Just pulled the trigger on a P9PXL (ew that acronym) and got the discount successfully - stacked with 10% Google One discount / trade in / $200 credit.

EDIT to add that "supersaf" as of 8.20 is a valid code (original supersafshort seems expired)

Yeah, but then you have to spend more money at the Google Store and rarely is there any reason to do that over alternatives.

Google store is a better value because of the higher TIV for the P8P along with the 10% google store credit. The $200 GC is better at BB obviously because you can use it for more items but I went with google this time because of the higher TIV. $1057 for two phones after trade in and over $600 in store credit is a great deal for me.

200$ Google Store credit expires after a year. Better to wait for the actual discount on the phone.
