The rule of pixel is never buy on launch. Always black Friday. They consistently make launch seem like a good deal and undercut it on BF by $200. I write this on my P7, while planning an upgrade in November

FYI - for those ordering from the Google Store, I came across the promo code "supersafshort" on a Reddit thread that gives an extra $50 off. Just pulled the trigger on a P9PXL (ew that acronym) and got the discount successfully - stacked with 10% Google One discount / trade in / $200 credit.

EDIT to add that "supersaf" as of 8.20 is a valid code (original supersafshort seems expired)

BB GC is if you pre order through BB. Google gives you the Google store credit if you pre order through them. Sorry I wasn't clear.

And yes the trade in process is through each of their respective trade in partners.

Maybe true but I'm sure they won't offer me $450 for my current Pixel 6 Pro (which has been a POS since I got it) so it makes it worth it.

Don't worry based on previous launches the 9 will be same POST just in a different areas, pixels have non existent trade in values for most part and lots of people even ask me "what's a pixel?" When I tell them I have one for sale lol.

Trade in values really bad atm. Expect a big push for black friday. I think I got my pixel 7 for hella cheap (maybe free?) with a trade-in of an iphone xr

They have historically. It was $40 or 50 for me to upgrade from a 6 to a 7 that one year.

I'm addition they are targeting $100 promos occasionally to Google plan subscribers, which we've got anyway

How strict is Best Buy trade-in with model numbers? I have an iphone 12 pro 128gb (unlocked) model MGKJ3LL/A. All the models shown for trade-in are carrier locked models.
