One example is Norwegian's 7-night Hawaii inter-island cruise that visits other Hawaiian islands such as Kahului-Maui, Hilo, Kailua-Kona and Nawiliwili Kauai. All this while unpacking once! Pride of America (the ship) will embark and disembark in Honolulu-Oahu.

Cruise fares are quoted based on 2 people travelling (double occupancy), travel dates and stateroom category. Using off-peak season dates of September 28 - October 5, 2024 for the lowest category, NCL website is $1530 and Expedia was $1425. See screenshot below if you want. The link in the first paragraph will take you to the search for this itinerary. You just have to change the dates.

Your voyage fare includes:
  • Dining: Main dining, buffet meals, and snacks
  • Onboard entertainment: Broadway-style shows and live music
  • Youth programs: Ages 3-17
  • Room service: 24-hour in-room dining option

Avoid NCL,Celebrity,Carnival, Princess, etc. They will nickle and dime you to death. Low fares are just a gimmick. Once you get on board or done with booking you will find out the true cost. Food and room service have been downgraded. They give you a free drink package and charge you 20% as gratuities for the full value of the package which turns out to be a hefty chunk of money irrespective of whether you drink or not. Coffee and Bottled Water are extra. Nasty drip bulk coffee and tap water and medicore bulk tasteless breakfast/lunch/dinner are free! $20 to $25 per person per day are mandatory gratuities collected in advance for a shitty experience!

All or semi-inclusive tours such as Gate 1 and other companies. Sign up and you will get their promotions and then book accordingly. I have taken a lot of cruises with different companies but NCL cruise from Tokyo to Seoul March 2024 was the last one!

"And other companies"
????..... It just seems like you've a had bad experience? But you're not giving real prove to your point you're not showing any links or you're not promoting some deals that we could take advantage of just seems like you're ranting??????
I'm sure cruise lines are full of happy customers and those of us that are trying to book a deal. Aren't gonna take
What you're saying with truth.

I can echo exactly what he's saying. Did an NCL cruise last year. Went for a suite in Haven. Had the identical experience - we hated every second. Every thing is an upcharge or additional cost. I wouldn't do another one at any cost, no matter the deal. Literally wouldn't do another NCL cruise for free. (I'll admit I'm extremely salty that we hated that $10k+ trip, but it really really sucked.)

We've done three with Virgin, and it's the only line I'll ever do. No tips, all restaurants included, no children.

This is pretty expensive for a mass market cruise, but it's unique as it's a US flagged ship. This means it's exempt from Jones Act restrictions of having to dock at a foreign port before returning to its starting destination. Costs are higher partially because of US regulations.

Your other option for a Hawaiian cruise is leaving from the US West Coast and sailing 5 days there and back.
