Well Marantz new at this price very unlikely imo.

So unless you knew you wanted Marantz, at this price might be better off waiting to see if the 4800 comes back for $1300.

The 50 is closer to the 4800 than the 3800 in performance from personal experience with both.

Upon saying that the 3800 for the cost is probably the sweet spot of almost anything especially if you use external amps.
For the features it offers, nothing really comes close imo.

If you want new,don't have a brand preference and can wait, it might be worth waiting to see if the 4800 comes down again imo.

Cinema 50 if you like the porthole and better case. Otherwise, the 3800 is identical and you don't have to pay extra for the HDAMs that any EE will tell you has questionable value!
