So kind to wrap up your helpful response with a lmgtfy link and sass. Hilarious your search term still required some knowledge of what to search since you searched for a search term that wasn't directly from this post. For example, "Gluck's gym BalanceFrom" did not yield this result. But sure, if you knew to search Google specifically for "Gluck's gym essential bumper" then you'd get to the link. But then lmgtfy doesn't apply if you need to know the unique term to find the place.
Anyway, I had searched on Youtube (as stated by the person who recommended looking him up on Youtube) and you'll note that the video never states "BalanceFrom" in the description or chapters - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yodFBaEDoA so it was quite tricky to find. Granted the article linked here - https://glucksgym.com/blogs/news/...ying-guide does call out the "BalanceFrom Everyday Essentials plates".
To those curious, the TLDR is that he calls out the cheap construction of the rubber inside but doesn't totally call off buying them entirely as they are quite a bit less expensive than some of the other options.
Thanks again for the link and also no thanks for the unnecessary sass.

Good thing to search is also reddit. I usually search a product plus reddit to get opinions. There are multiple threads on these bumper plates with user experiences. Most if not all issues come from dropping them and after a while top layer rubber could split, I don't drop my weights so that is not an issue for me.
If you constantly drop your weights should go with name brands but expect to pay 3x as much. If you don`t drop the weights these should last a long while. Another cheap alternative is CAP Economy on amazon prime day. Last prime day there were at 260 LB = $214.11 0.8 per LB. Those were basic CAP black bumpers non colored so can wait for maybe black Friday if not next year amazon day.

These Balance Form Bumper Plates are awesome! Walmart periodically will have deals on sets and sets with an Olympic Bar.
I got a 360 lb colored set with a 7' bar for $370 before tax, $400 with CA tax
Amazon had a sale for a pair of 35 lb black bumper plates for $38.35. I bought 2 pairs… 140 lbs for $83.02 with CA tax
Know that they come with quite the smell… the smell from the Black ones from Amazon were overly powerful. But after a couple weeks or so sitting in the garage, the smell dissipated. You can still smell them if you get real close, but I don't notice the smell if I'm working out.

DO NOT buy it unless you are sure to keep it. The return process is PITA. Walmart only provides one shipping label not suitable for 260lbs. Still arguing with them and FedEx on the extra shipment charges which are way more than the product price.

Deadlifting, for example, would be quite limited at 260lbs (305lbs with barbell weight).
But at that point I wouldn't buy another set… I would just buy another pair of 45s or something like that.
