to help save a click: max charging for a single usb-c port is 100w

Probably because it's a pretty meh price for a 100W charger (misleadingly advertised as a 150W charger).

While most no-name charger makers try to deceive their customers by adding up the maximum theoretical capacity of each port used alone, I'm somewhat surprised to see such antics from Anker.

This will fall out of most sockets, it's too heavy. You don't need to that much power or ports if you just have a laptop, tablet and phone. For $14 on amazon you can find smaller options, just search for 65W GaN USB C Wall Charger Block, SIMDOG 3-Port. Mine is working really well during my travels, but it gets pretty warm when charging my macbook.
Only $14 yet potentially burn down your house, No thanks!

Wow, 48v chargers apparently, to keep the amps low.
I think one reason maybe it is much harder to build high amp usb C cable. Current 5 amp usb C cable is already very thick and rigid

Which laptop does 140w over usb C ?

What device use that much power over usb c? Genuinely curious.
Also 16in MacBook Pro is 140w charging and starts to slow to a trickle with less than 100w

Not a true 150w product. Anker has went downhill. Bloody deceivers.

Does not work with Magsafe for the M2 and M3 MacBooks.

"This charger does not support MagSafe charging for M2 MacBooks. It's recommended to use a standard USB-C to USB-C cable."

I did a little research on this topic, and it appears the MagSafe incompatibility extends to both M2/M3 series MacBooks, and is a fundamental issue with all multi-port USB-C chargers. As they re-negotiate whenever an additional cable/device is connected, which upsets the MagSafe 3 protocol. Alternately, other devices connected to such multi-port chargers drop voltage as they charge up, and such voltage drop causes MagSafe to re-negotiate - you'll get that annoying reconnection situation on a regular basis.

So, it's a valid concern. But not one that can be rectified with a different brand/model of multi-port chargers.

Just got this and it's driving me insane. With my Rog Ally X connected and my iPhone, constant disconnects etc. Dumping it for something that has dedicated circuits for each port.

My framework 16 is built for 240w over USBC. But so far, the highest on the market is a 180w USBC adapter.

Apple never follows standards correctly, leading to incompatibility with everything except other apple products.

This is on sale because they just announced a new version that's much more balanced in its plug location relative to position vertically on the charger body, helps center of gravity to prevent fallouts from the socket. Does still feel pricey though, agreed.

These MFers are killing us with these overpriced and crappy suckits. Anyone on here for longer than a week knows these are crap and has better sockets then this that they picked up for a fraction of the price. Ask for a link and you can suckit. True SDers already have so many mcclarren sockets that they picked up for a fraction of this price it's not even funny. I got chargers so powerful I pitch a tent every time I walk by them, they got usb, usb-c, lsd, dmt, and they cost a fraction of this price. Keep ur sockits off the front page. Ask for a link and you can suckit. True SDers stopped picking up >$10 sockets and pluggy wuggys week 1 on SD, deals like this are an insult. All these suckit deals get me charged up. If it's sub $5, fine, but there's no charger, plug, or socket, you cant get sub $10 if you've been on SD for more than a week.
... absolutely. Couldn't agree more.

It's not the cable, it's the connector pins. There's a reason they mostly use barrel plugs, larger surface area for the connection. The cable can be made thicker, but the usbc pins can not. The only other option is to raise the voltage.

240w is probably max though. It's not like a laptop could dissipate much more than 200watt on those heatsinks. shake head
