I just want to say I bit on this exact model the last time there was a Yeti deal; after a couple of COVID-era years of buying bulk, massive similar but likely drop-shipped Chinese Thermos. I was curious about the difference in quality..... and my experience with my Yeti 35oz Rambler Mug was quite disappointing.

I would pass on this. I can't believe the retail price is $42. At $28.52, still not a deal.

I have this and love it. Long drives and it fits in all cars. This is my main water bottle and it's gone with me all over the place. Still looks brand new.

My 32 and 40oz ozark trails tumblers I bought 6 or 7 years ago and use daily are still going strong. Nearly look new in fact.

I strongly believe sometimes certain name brands provide you superior quality & longevity but in the case of a lot of these tumblers/water bottles, your basically paying for the name.

If paying 5x the price for a Yeti makes you feel good about yourself, it's well worth it. They should last you a really long time.

I usually only get yeti's on sale for obvious reasons. I tried hydro flask, swells, cheaper brands and Stanleys. Yeti's are the only ones that can keep water cold for 24hrs in my opinion.

I guess it all depends on the use scenario. It's great that this cup will keep your beverage cold for 24 hours. I usually consume the contents of my cup and refill numerous times throughout the day. My ice can last all day based on the temperature of the refill beverage. The cheap Ozark trail tumblers may not last 24 hours, but as a daily driver, it realistically only needs to hold temperature until my next refill. I'm sure that there are situations where 24 hours are necessary, but I would guess that it's not every day for most.

TikTok could really make poop popular if influencers were paid enough.

Yeti is one of the worst performing insulated cups. They all do a good job. But Yeti is usually one of the ones that does the worst.

But will your friends be impressed by your (better performing) Ozark Trail $12 mug?

Their approval is all that matters.

Correction, you are spending $10 on a cup and $18 on the brand name attached to it.

What if this cup was made out of an expensive material with high insulating capability and designed / developed by US engineers?

I'd still pass. FYI YETI is manufactured in China, Philippines and Mexico.

You will come to realize that major brands are also technically "drop shipped Chinese Thermos" they just put a better labeling on them.
