Decent little knife that's inexpensive. Good for your daily Amazon boxes and shanking violent criminals :-) but mostly Amazon boxes.

There are better knives, better steel, and better prices for sure. But this is still a decent little knife.

Too heavy for me for a single blade. It stays in a drawer mostly.

Yea for $15 no one is going to cry if it gets lost. It can open those boxes like a champ 😂

This is nice, but I'd rather have the replaceable blade of the Gerber EAB lite for a little less money.
you can't do anything except cut tape with that boxcutter knife. just use a box cutter. the kershaw can actually leverage out nails. I had a flat tire once and my hubcap was rusted on...i used this kershaw knife like a lever and popped it off. boxcutter would have left me stranded.

What about the Ember for a couple bucks more? On Amazon sold by Chicago Knife Works with 8cr13mov

Also has anyone else seen another knife with 4cr13? I know 3cr and 7cr and even 5cr are common but this seems to be an odd one.

The Ember should be much better as far as holding an edge. 8cr13MoV is the bare minimum I think for knives. The only advantage 4 would have is rust resistance but rust likely won't be a problem for either. 4 is sometimes used for steel knife handles.

Anything less than 8cr13mov will need sharpening quite often. I had a 3Cr13 kershaw cinder that was on my keychain for a while for opening Amazon packages. I spent more time sharpening it than I liked. Switched over to a Blemish sale Kershaw Chive and been very happy.

If all you're doing is opening boxes with the knife you'll be much happier with a Fiskars Pro Folding Utility Knife which is objectively the best utility knife on the market, it is cheap and you can replace blades. Plus it is a flipper so you don't have to worry about mortally wounding yourself when you bump a corner with a razor knife in your pocket.

Honestly I carry a nice folding knife and this thing as well. I more often reach for fiskars daily. I'd also probably pick it first for self-defense since wounds with it are going to be brutal.

3oz is too heavy for a knife? That's featherweight...

Objectively? Lots of posts online about Fiskars quality not being what it used to be. Maybe that doesn't matter with utility knives as much, after all you can buy other blades which begs the question of whether their replacement blades are the best? If it is not then that's already not everything that's better. As far as the knife itself how is it better, ergos? There are plenty of folding utility knives where you can replace blades, those are standard features that does not distinguish this one from others in the same class of product.

You could watch the accompanying review comparing multiple utility knives rather than speculate.

That would involve a time commitment I'm not interested in based on the limited information presented. Your comparison was this particular utility knife against folders in general which is very different and yet presented as almost universally recommended, but I didn't see specifics that may warrant looking into it further.
