Man the prices on OLED are certainly coming down in the PC space these days. Hell i'd take a 144hz 32 inch version of this for like 400 dollars. This ain't a bad price at all. Just hope it continues to trend downward!

In my experience, everything LG makes is made to be disposable soon after the warranty expires.
That's a pretty broad statement about a brand that makes tons of products. I've never had a problem with any of my LG devices or appliances.

If you sign up for texts (new account) you can get an additional 10% off the sale price. Brought my total down to $670 after recycling fees and stuff.

I've had fantastic experiences with their OLED TVs over the years but the only high end monitor I bought from them (38GL950G-B) died within two months of the warranty ending. I feel like their WOLED panels are probably better than their IPS' but I'm still a bit hesitant on their monitors.

Speak for yourself. The only issue I had with an LG was a 13 year old washing machine I replaced because I think the control panel overheated.

Can anyone help with comparing Alienware deal with this one? Prices are same, size as well. QDOLED vs WQHD-OLED? Refresh rate and response time are lower on alienware, but if I am able to get alienware for $600 with taxes, is extra money on lg justified?

LG was infamous for a series of phones that would go into a boot loop sequence. More than likely it was the nail in the coffin for their mobile phone division.

Stay AWAY from the partner store, even if a good price. They don't allow exchanges for dead on delivery items, they will refuse to refund it without a fight, and can take up to a Month + to get your money back. Make sure to read the terms and conditions as it differs from buying from the regular LG site.

Go QD-OLED, it is superior. I have had the AW3423DW since prerelease and it is an absolute beast paired with my 4090.

I have this monitor, it's absolutely beautiful when gaming. It's OK for OW but it really shines for movies and gaming! Wish I would have bought the 45in. And after going to an 800r curve I can't go back to anything less.

There are some minor differences in brightness and color reproduction but the largest noticeable differences are likely that this monitor is significantly more curved than the Alienware and Dell's warranty process (should you need to use it) is far better than LG's if you're US-based

Good deal but Samsung G85SB at $599 with Woot is a whole 100 cheaper.

Also the LG partner store is GOD AWFUL to deal with. Absolutely hate dealing with them. Do a reddit search.

I had the Alienware for a few days but the text fringing issues sucked for me not sure how it would look on the LG. The Alienware glossy screen is beautiful but good luck getting one that doesn't have any scratches on it. It's not noticeable during use but eh not paying a premium for the cheap coating used.

Edited to mention the return process was super easy at least I had no issues using their website to do the return. I wish text was better but again not everyone really cares about that if you primary use is gaming you will love it. but again mine came with ton of scratches.
