Why is an open box wifi 5 router a comparable slickdeal with any of the live linksys models which are cheaper, still available for under $30 and support wifi 6 and can run openwrt to support mesh. Guess I don't follow how this is at all slick

Where's the link to the linksys you're talking about?

Its google nest router,... turn around and run. The most unreliable router I have ever used in my life, it as usual an orphaned google product with no support and has the most basic features. does not allow for hardly any customization, you cannot even change wifi channels, so if you have a few other wifi's around chances are your performance is terrible. Trashed my google nest 3 point system and bought a tp-link mesh, day night difference in reliability and speed.

Fudge them trash google wifi route. I bought the 1st gen and they are trash because they keep dropping signal and slow as hell. Too late to return them and now they're just junk. Pisses me off that google would release junk wifi routers. I will never trust their crappy wifi routers again and would just pick other more reliable brands now

Only Wifi 5 and not Wifi 6. Google has made these things run worse and worse with time. I would not recommend. I have constant disconnects and the Google Assistant has only gotten worse with time as Google breaks things more and more and even removing features. The other variants offer Wifi 6 and have better stability.

Had these and eventually they crapped out completely. Slow, poor interface. Only one has an ethernet port while the other points do not. Would not recommend. Upgraded to a TP link from costco and have never looked back
