I highly recommend adjustable DBs instead of these. Really only worth if ur rich and for some reason need to drop 50s
I have 100 and 50 pound Boflex adjustable and still use these.

Most people won't ever progress put of 50 pounds and these will just collect dust.

Bowflex, as nice and convenient as they are, are pretty terrible especially the larger one thanks to their huge and unchanging size. So I'm not surprised you use these over your bowflex. But other brands like powerblock, nüobell, ironmaster are a different story. Much closer to standalone dumbbell experience while saving a lot of space and money too.

This is a great deal! I actually ended up getting 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50s all for under $1 per pound which is a really good deal for new weights these days. I've been watching marketplace and the used prices in my area are about $1 per lb.

Me too. I have the CAP set with the 50s and 60s but have never used the 60s for BP because I need the 55s to work up to them. Unfortunately neither brand seems to make them.

Something to keep in mind with these Balance From dumbbells: their prices at the moment are certainly excellent, but they are much bigger than dumbbells from other makers. I recently bought a pair of 25lb DBs and they looked to be at least 30% if not 50% bigger than the 20lb DBs made by CAP. It's not a big problem at such low weights, but once you go above 50lbs or so, you end up with extremely bulky and ergonomically challenging weights! My local gym has a full set of Balance From DBs and I can you that their 80# ones are easily as big as the 100-110# DBs at other gyms. If I had to do it all over again, I would pay the extra $10-20 for a 25# pair from CAP.

I have these. 5-50lbs. Can't complain. They may in fact be a bit bigger then other manufacturers but the price is excellent. I love using them way way more than my power blocks and bowflex adjustable sets (sold both).

Start with something lighter if your friend has noodle arms

I'm guessing you're being funny because I laughed. But a non funny answer is actually I used a set of these 3-4 times a week for various workouts I rarely if ever touch the 50s. I have a set of 5-50 and use a variety of weights depending on specific exercises.

But when talking about noodle arms dumbbells are almost always the answer. Now what weight dumbbell is up to the type of noodle arms you have. Angel hair probably needs lighter weight like a set of 5s or 10s. where a sheet of lasagna could probably use these 50s. Smilie.
