Many, many devaluations later, it's REALLY hard to get smokin deals anymore. It makes sense if Hyatt offers the best return on spend because their footprint is so small compared to Hilton, and especially Marriott.
Either way, never sit on hotel loyalty points, they just naturally devalue over time

I often feel like it's not worth the trouble to log into Hilton's site, takes a ridiculous number of points to book anything now, and they expire quickly.
Starbucks hollowed out a good rewards program that used to even convince ME to go there once in a while, I always make coffee at home and pickup "baked goods" at Costco in bulk if I want 'em. They are trying to backtrack by constantly running promotions that make their concoctions less overpriced, but once you've turned away customers in bulk it's hard to win them back. McDonalds FA and is finding out on that one.
