I would not recommend that. These fans are made for light duty use (smaller windings, cheaper components, plastic, need to be cleaned, etc.). A fan that is made for an attic will be rated as such. They are engineered with long service intervals in mind (typically beefier assembly that is more dust resistant so you don't have to clean it as often, better bearings for many more years of service, all metal construction to resist heat and degradation).
A plastic fan (especially a cheap one) will only last so long in the heat of an attic. The motor will eventually lock up and and will lead to overheating that can possibly start a fire.

https://www.homedepot.com/s/attic%20fan?NCNI-5

A lot of attic fans will come with a thermostat (they are also relatively cheap on their own) that turns off the fan on a regular basis.

Most people that put a regular house fan in the attic are not going to think to turn off the fan on their own. House fans are also not meant to be hard wired in, so most people will probably use an extension cord (which can also be a fire hazard in the future while laying in the insulation).
Besides the fire hazard. Long run times contributes to the electric bill in several ways. Fan wattage consumption is a small part. Depending on how badly your house is insulated, a fan running continuously through the night causes the attic to cool down faster. This can lead to humidity problems as it draws in cool/moist air that is absorbed into the insulation causing musty smells and mold. It can also remove the air barrier that a warm attic provides on chilly nights. As the delta between the indoor and outdoor temperatures broaden, your HVAC system works harder to keep the house in line, causing your bill to go higher.

All that is a long winded way to say that if you want to get a fan for your attic. Get the proper fan and controls.

This fan cannot be angled down at all, which I have wanted several times. So, keep this in mind.

Ordered 2. Thumbs up. Got a smaller Honeywell 3 speed one that sits at foot of bed. Moves a fair volume for its size. It was a slick deal from Target a while back.

$/CFM is probably good/comparable, but a similar sized Vornado will move a lot more air, but will cost a lot more too.

Also a Vornado will typically come with a 5 year warranty, where as this as it is from woot only has a 90 day warranty.

According to the Honeywell website, the Woot listing is the HT900 which is the same exact fan that is sold at Target. I purchased one at Target myself and it's the HT900.

I believe Walmart also sells the same fan for close to the same price as Target.

I bought one this summer because it's the cheapest AC fan you can buy. I paid $15.99 on Amazon at the regular price. It does not compare to my two Vornado fans at all, but it is okay for what it is. I plan on waiting until the end of summer to buy a better fan when they go on sale. I tip it down by putting a book under the back edge of the base.

We had this fan for a couple years. It suddenly broke at the hinges and wasn't useable anymore. Unless they changed the quality, it won't last for long.
