Samsung is cheaper comparatively even for 16", yet still a far cry from one of those iPad mini 2 trade in deals.

Same amount of ram and storage, plus a good every day camera. But not a full fledged computer for productivity tasks.

Though only lunatics pay anywhere near full price for phones.

Consumers are generally impulsive and make bad decisions, like leasing cars they can't afford or always ordering food instead of cooking.

It doesn't matter what phones or other devices are priced it, the average person will accept the cost - whether in the form of installments or credit. People don't really "vote with their wallet". They enable these greedy companies who then in turn, become more greedy.

iPhone 15 Pro Max is more expensive than a M3 Air also. A Porsche costs more than a Tundra. A diamond ring costs more than a bag of charcoal. The size of the thing is irrelevant.
