The dishes with "bakeware" in the name aren't made in France, but the stovetop safe White Corningware Casserole dishes are made in France but the included lid is pyrex and it's made in the U.S. All of the Vision line cookware from CorningWare is made in France too including the lids. Vision is the translucent yellow and red cookware that is also stove top safe. If it's sold by Corning and it is listed as both stovetop and oven safe then it's made in France. If it is oven safe only then it is made in U.S. You have to check the descriptions on the white dishes because the bakeware only dishes look similar to the bakeware + stovetop compatible dishes.

So if it says imported then France for sure?

No it needs to say something like "Baking dish is safe for cooking directly on electric and gas stovetops" or "Versatile glass-ceramic Pyroceram". The box and website will usually have a picture of the dish being used on top of a gas stove top.

I bought several CorningWare dishes recently and every one that was "Pyroceram" said made in "France and USA" on the box and the dish itself has "Made in France" embedded on the handle. The lid just says "Pyrex" which is made in USA. Note that Pyrex is not really stovetop safe. If you plan to use the dish on the stovetop then buy a separate lid from their "Visions" line which is stovetop safe. However it's very difficult to find Visions lids.

Here's two examples stovetop safe Corningware (note the lid is Pyrex and therefore not stovetop safe):

Here is a stovetop safe Visions lid:

Thanks for the great info, just trying to make sure nothing in the kitchen is from you know where. So far lodge (except their enamel) and le crueset are the only things I use on stove top. I have older Corning Ware from Mom's and Grandma's kitchen, just looking to add another large & med casserole dish. Repped for the info!
