Deal Details
UPDATE (8/28) - Last day for this deal. The phones listed below still works for trading.

UPDATE (8/25) - No new updates for trade ins. For those picking up their online orders, don't ask what your values are. Just take it and check your online invoice right after taking the phone. If it shows things are zero'd out, you're good and your refund will show up in a few days tops.

UPDATE (8/23) - Thanks to user SmartMice845 for pics of the latest trade in values (basically everything is devalued except the Samsung 23/24 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro/Max. https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=172512819&postcount=2545

UPDATE (8/22) - From more reporting, it would seem the entire iPhone 13 lineup is devalued (base, pro, pro max). Thus for anyone who still wants in on this deal, only the 14 series and Samsung equivalents are good. Obviously those who already purchased have locked in the rates. Those who ordered online from the start of the promotion for instore pickup seem to be getting the full value without any additional tax.

UPDATE (8/21) - More than one person are reporting devaluation of the iPhone 13 > PXL 9 trade in so careful tonight if you're still planning on doing that. The iPhone 13 Pro Max > PXL 9 Pro XL is still alive.
Devices that were pre-ordered ship to home earlier are being shipped. I actually have a Pixel 9 delivered just now [imgur.com] from an instore pre-order on 8/16!

UPDATE (8/20) - It appears Best Buy have no intentions of fulfilling the "SteveIrwin" iPhone 12 $654 coupon for those who had it zero'd out on the eve of the 18th. Which is crazy they named it that since he's a famous Zoologist who died, so naming it that to say the coupon is dead is crazy. Anyways, if you still have it, I would try to get your trade in back. My store's manager kept my iPhone 12 in a separate location because he saw issues with the coupon. Returned it to me and cancelled the trade in today.

UPDATE (8/19) - looks like quite a few people are reporting their online orders getting cancelled, especially those with multiple orders or trading in an iPhone 12. No one who reported successfully trading in instore has reported cancellations yet. If you have an online order that isn't with an iPhone 12 trade in, perhaps trying going instore to "lock in" your trade and cancel the online one.

UPDATE (8/18) - they have fully devalued the iPhone 12 series. Those who attempted to trade in 8/18 at night were met with a coupon that doesn't work after they traded in their iPhone 12. Will see how Best Buy resolve a traded in phone but the coupon doesn't work. Other models listed below should still have elevated values instore. The updated terms online some people have posted is not the same terms that are present for instore documentation. Best Buy reps have an updated PDF every day and as of last night, still include everything EXCEPT the iPhone 12.

This is a previously posted deal, but trade in values online have been reduced. Higher trade in values still work in-store. Worked for me both yesterday and today.

Steps:

- Have one of the following trade ins. Carrier locked phones are fine as long as they aren't blacklisted. YMMV on exact carrier models and colors matching but I and many others have had no issues trading in a locked Straight Talk iPhone 12 and told them Verizon or Metro and T-Mobile (remove your SIM card when trading in):
Pixel 9:
Galaxy S23 Ultra ($799)
Galaxy S24 Ultra ($799)
Galaxy S24+ ($799)

Pixel 9 Pro:
Galaxy S24 Ultra ($999)
iPhone 14 Pro ($999)
iPhone 14 Pro Max ($999)

Pixel 9 Pro XL:
Galaxy S23 Ultra ($1,099)
Galaxy S24 Ultra ($1,099)
iPhone 14 Pro ($1,099)
iPhone 14 Pro Max ($1,099)
- Take your trade in to the store and ask them you want to pre-order the Pixel with said phone (don't ask for trade in value yet)
- They will ask for your phone's model and capacity and will check the IMEI that's physically on the phone (on the back of Samsung's and on the SIM tray of iPhones with SIM card slots)
- Let them proceed and they'll eventually get to this screen here: https://imgur.com/a/3tKD8kv
- Do not let them skip that screen. They will need to input a coupon code in order for this to work (they have a booklet for the code) -> Others have mentioned the code is just "GOOGLE"
- They'll print out the info, gift card for trade in value and coupon is deducted directly
- After you confirm the promo trade in value, proceed to sign away and give them your phone
- For some states like mine (WA), taxes is paid only on the after coupon price
https://imgur.com/a/naartVF

Additional info:
Phones listed should only have the value for their respective tiers. An iPhone 13 for instance will not have $799 value when trying to get a Pixel 9 Pro or Pro XL.
The $100/$200 gift cards come AFTER you make the purchase so you cannot use it to pay off the taxes. Gift cards are stackable though so if you do more than one trade in, you can use the $100/$200 gift card to pay for taxes on the second or third trade in.
You can use the previous threads to find data points from what others have mentioned are trade in values for different phones. I only listed the ones that corresponds with the models to make them free. Online trade in values are decreased so it's not a good data point for how much your phone would actually cost.

It must be back in stock right at the time of your trade in, I would consider today is your lucky day

That's weird. The manager said the coupon for the increased trade in values wasn't working correctly. So they couldn't process trade ins. I might try Milpitas or San Jose stores tomorrow when they open. I was trying to trade in a 13 pro max towards a pixel pro XL.
SF is where I did mine. It was pretty painless other than waiting for the damn phone to be in stock and able to order. All the people at the mobile department were pretty chill/cool with it. Just work with them and they work with you.

I suppose but regardless of them knowing or not.. the one guy I had talked with first didn't know but being nice and not being forceful will go a long way. If you piss them off, they definitely will not help you.

Initially they looked it up for me on the first attempt and just said: "Oh the system doesn't let me, I can't help you."

So I asked, Can we try proceeding with the trade in step by step and see what the final offer results in, if it's acceptable we can finalize but if not, we can call it off.

That got me the coupon print out. Then it was a good 30 minutes of refreshing and trying to find stock that would stick around long enough to process the order.

I guarantee you if you piss them off, they aren't going to be doing shit to help you. They get paid the same either way.

And I suppose as an added bonus if you come up from the bay, I already got them all trained up on how to process it, so it should be a lot easier for you.

considering a lot of bots made accounts to take advantage of the deal I wouldn't fully blame BB maybe limit it to just 1-2 per account.
thus they should not be canceling all orders but more or less the ones or accounts that abused it and have them delivered to a same address of sorts if they do cancel any at all.
This person had ONE order and it got cancelled. https://slickdeals.net/f/17698470-pixel-9-series-for-free-with-trade-in-best-buy-in-store-only?p=172432950#post172432950 . That's certainly not abusing the offer. In a later post, that person said the order was for a $799 Pixel 9 with an iPhone 12 $799 trade-in, which suspiciously sounds like BB figured that was too generous an offer and decided to cancel it. The reason of "exceeded our orderable limit" is B.S. for a single order. The Ordering Terms attached below give them the power to cancel any order for any reason, even when they F*up their offer.

There's also no limit. Make it one order per household or person if that's the problem

should file a complaint as they should be doing it to iPhone 12 pro and pixel 9 pro more than pixel 9

because more people are abusing that one for resale actually.
I'm glad I ordered 2 but one was for unlocked iphone 12 and one for T-Mobile iPhone 12.

they said that declaring it T-Mobile actually mattered so be sure to select it.
like for god sakes just change it to TMobile but they said no have to reorder it if you want to change it.

so I said it's fine.
I'm lucky I ordered both just in case. but 2 separate orders.

exactly this is the real solution especially when grocery stores figured it out and do this all the time.

or is it a conspiracy to juice iPhone 12 up then cancel all of them because prices were getting too low?

should sue bb for collusion if that is the case.
then 12 pro went as high as 400 even.

it's ridiculous.
you should be stopping the scalpers not us
bots upon bots did this cancel them instead.
another deal ruined by bots thanks ai bot bitches. go fuk yourselves and go bankrupt.

just like the ones in line with FTX SBF and the bitches abusing PPP loans to steal and buy houses for AIRBNB and spike house prices and make everyone in the country suffer now their insurance and prop taxes are up and everyone losing money except the ones that got out earlier and gov taxes.

Remember I called no chip shortage and it was artificial from crypto mining and was proven correct. 2x actually.
and then AI bubble will soon be proven correct as it unwinds in the future in the mean time. enjoy your AI trades.

BB employees read this and tell your boss you ain't being fair at all.

I had placed an order online on 8/16 for pixel 9 pro XL 256 GB. I was given a trade in value for s23+ of 999$.

On my order status page, it shows pre ordered, wait for pickup instructions. And I'm able to redeem the code for Google one 3 month trial.

Does this mean I'll still be able to get the 999$ trade in value when I go to pick it up? The value has changed to 560$ online ...
