Because they are an older model. The HD560S is the newer version. I bought the HD599SE when it was $99 and thought it was a bargain; it is a steal at this price. If anyone is wondering, the SE is just cosmetic differences compared to the regular HD599.

No info about the impedance. On the manufacturer's website it says 50 Ω, but I don't know if there are different versions.

Crazy price. I had the old hd598 open back for nearly a decade. Very bright wide sound stage. Not as good as my hifiman xs, but great for counterstrike.

You don't need an amp, they're loud enough imo.

80$ price seems ridiculous when they're normally selling in the 130-170$ price point last I remember.

Excellent price. I bought them on Amazon for the same price on October 10th. It must have been a lightning deal or similar. I had to return them because I could not get the cable to fully screw into the cup after removing it. Yes, I know it uses a twist lock mechanism.

I wear glasses and had multiple headphones over the years and I can't think of anything else that is as comfortable and sound as good for $80.

The 560s is not the new version. It's a different series with different impedance rating. They have completely different sound characteristics.

The HD599 is an absolute monster at this price. Everyone should jump on this for an entry level headphone.

Very different, xm4s are closed back. Open backs have a very airy and live type of sound.

They may not be the replacement as far as Sennheiser is concerned, but if you go to the headphone forums, most people look at them that way.

Sound wise these are on par with the Philips SPH9500/9600 If you know what those are then you will know that those headphones are classics. The 599's have a better feel to them and possibly more base. Past that the sounds are similar. I think Rtings gave a slight edge to the 599. The price for the Philips is also right around the same price as this. So this should be the every day price of the 599.

This one's a no brainer at this price. And you don't even need a headphone amp. Just do it. Great headphones.
