$70 is not the regular price at Harbor Freight, more like $25 but still a good deal.
Had to ask if they had any in the back...he said I dont think so but came back with one. Thx for the post.
I agree with everyone else, typical prices for this were $30 to $40. It's a deal at $12, but doesn't compare to an $80 viair

Does any one know if this has the guts to inflate a kayak or a stand up paddle board appropriately?

with these types of inflators , you'll have to wait all day for yr kayak to fill up ..

Get a dedicated SUP inflator, this isn't designed to output that much volume in any reasonable amount of time.

Nope. It's only good for tires and even then you'd better not be in a hurry. I keep one in my car for emergencies and it's just about worth $12.

You'd probably need an adapter to even attach this type of a compressor.
As others have said, you'll want something that's higher volume to do the first 90% of the inflation and then you could definitely use something like this to do the final top off.

As an alternative to consider, or at least put you on a different track, I use a HART (battery powered, portable) dual inflator that does both high volume and high pressure. YMMV on how it suits your needs but I've used it for both floaties and tires with ease.

Be sure to plug it in the 12V Socket and Turn it on to get the pump running before connecting it to the Tire Stem. If you did the opposite, you would Blow the Fuse in the unit's 12V Male Plug and have to replace it, I see some complains about it.

This is meant for low volune, high-ish pressure situations such as filling a bicycle tire, gokart tire, motorcycle tire, or passenger car tire that is low on air. It will take a long time to fill a truck tire, or any vehicle tire that has no air in it. If you try to fill up anything with a larger volume than a car tire it may stop due to overheating and you'd have to let it cool down for 10-15mins before turning it back on to finish the job. What you want is an inflatable pool toy air pump or an inflatable bed air pump which is designed for low pressure but high volume. You could probably blow up an inflatable kayak in equal or less time using your mouth vs this pump. I have this pump and it works well for topping up my car's tires, but it is slower than most "good" car tire inflators which pretty much all have a higher CFM rating than this does.

I've seen a Ryobi dual purpose air pump that has both high pressure (for car tires) and high volume (for inflatable pool toys or inflatable kayaks) that is cordless and costs around $70 at Home Depot. I've used that too, and it would inflate your kayak many times faster than this Harbor Freight pump will since it is designed for high volume low pressure too.

You want a high volume pump for that. This thing will take 1 hour and probably over heat.

Confirming what others say - you might be waiting a good while. I keep one in a little automotive emergency toolbox in the truck. I love it and it does work well, but topping off my small tires by about 5-10 psi takes longer than I would have expected. They're really awesome for that purpose though, due to the size and light weight. I paid $30 w/coupon for mine and think it was worth every penny. $12 is a steal if you can get it for that.
