Hydroflask is one of the few vacuum bottle companies that definitely does not use lead. I think it's crazy that lead is allowed to be used in any products that people handle directly
The hype over the lead being used is a bunch of FUD. It's a tiny amount to secure the logo button on the bottom and to seal the bottle. They have a lifetime warranty, so if that button comes off you get a new one and you throw the old one away. People are NOT in danger of lead poisoning in the way that it's being used.

nearly same product with different white label
Completely different handles between the two. Yeti one is very uncomfortable to me. HydroFlask one is a lot more rounded.

What is with the new straw stuff. Why can't these things just have the plain old lid/cap?
Thermos mugs with straws have been around for years. Stanley just made them trendy recently. Nothing new.

My daughter asked for a Stanley after seeing some tik tok videos. They run for about 30 dollars. What would other parents do?

If she's 14-23...get the Stanley. It's all about fitting in and brand names at that age. If not...get the cheaper ones.

I disagree with this advice. Getting her a mug like this one (which, by the way, is objectively better than a stanley in most ways) is an opportunity to teach a life lesson about saving money and going against the crowd. There's more to life than fitting in with the crowd

Are these any better than the significantly cheaper, same sized "ThermoFlask" brand tumblers from Costco?

Why is it always the Lupine color that's on sale?
For over a year Lupine was never on sale. It was a fav color that people would pay full price for while others would avoid it to buy cheaper colors. Now I imagine they have more Lupine left over and they are reducing that stock. Maybe new colors headed out soon

I bought one for my husband and he LOVES IT. He says he knocks it over and it's totally leak proof and keeps his drink cold all day long. 10/10 I went and bought myself a baby version- the 21oz and I love it too.

Going in and buying this size as well. You won't regret it.

Why not? The alternative is to have yet another self-entitled, sheep mentality gen Z/gen alpha who is a drain on society rather than a benefit

Have two of these, the silicone straw (the top, soft one) eventually develop mold inside the little protruding groove where the two straws meet. Tried soaking in vinegar to using denture cleaning powder with straw brush but it just won't come off. If I were to buy again, I would buy one that has just single straw so this doesn't happen despite regular cleaning. Although you'll sacrifice the soft flexible touch on your lips.
