Not sure why the thumbs down. This is the lowest price I've seen by about $10. I've had one since December and overall like it a lot. The step tracking isn't quite as good as my old Fitbit, but close enough and since I wear it to bed for sleep tracking, I actually prefer this smaller bezel over the Venu 3. Recent app update shuffled things around for no good reason and hid some things I normally want, but I'm slowly figuring it out. And I actually am getting 7 day battery life with GPS turned off. That alone is reason to choose this over an Apple Watch.

Venu 3(s) is a great daily watch undoubtedly. One opinion is on the price, although this is the historical lowest price point, given it's released one year already, it's not very appealing for me. I still have the venu 2 plus I got with $249 or 279 when it's released around a year.
With all that said, it's still one of best smart watch with feature rich, long battery life and stylish/lightweight. If you're looking for a watch particularly in this category, then it will be a good buy. Otherwise if looking for an overall better fitness/sport watch, then with $350-400 price range, you could find something like forerunner 965 with more features, or epix series if you need more outdoor oriented and don't mind heavier weight.
Still repped.

Agree, I'm in the market for Venu 3s for my wife in weeks and this is historically the lowest price for a new watch. This watch has been released 'recently' so I'm not expecting big price drops.
Somehow I have issue to edit listing to change listing price to $449.

The thumbs down is probably because you give hardly any details in the post title. The more info the better in a title.

Yeah, that's a fair point. You can get more features/value for your $ if you're okay with the larger form factor Garmin watches.

Personally at this price point I would go for the Epix Gen 2 at Sam's Club. The main reason you would choose a Venu 3s over that is a) you don't want a bulky, tactical looking watch, b) you want to be able to answer phone calls/activate voice assistants without pulling out your phone.

You can also look at the feature set/upgrades and determine whether this is worth it over a used/refurbished Venu 2 Plus. I recently got a refurbished Venu 2 Plus off Slickdeals for $170 that I am overall happy with it for the price, but a few added features like Sleep coach, nap detection, and power meter support would have had me seriously consider this to replace my lost Fenix 6 had it been available at that time.

I went from a FR245 (loved) to a Fenix 6X and it was HUGE AND HEAVY. Then got the Venu 3 and its perfect. Very light and has a ton of features.

My only regret is im a stats nerd and I like to get ALL the features and training BS, so I will probably be upgrading once theres a deal on either the Fenix or Epix, or maybe something like a 965 or higher. Will insist on it being light enough to not notice though.

Just curious, where are you finding a Forerunner 965 for under $400? I'm in the market for a Garmin and I've heard the Forerunner 255 or 265 are good value.

Edit: Seeing FR 945 for under $400 on amazon, not sure the difference between all these models lol

Yes only downside is the Epix 2 on sale is 47mm, a bit large for the typical market of a venue 3s. I am hoping the smaller Epix 2 would drop in price too for one of my ladies.

There is a great comparison tool on the Garmin website that shows all the specific features and differences. Numbering convention for forerunner is (first number is series: higher is better - 9 is for intermediate to expert runners vs 2 for beginners)(middle number how new it is - bigger number means more recent, usually meaning more features and years of updates left)(last number is 0 or 5, 5 has more features than 0 models). s at the end means a smaller case size. If you are wondering about a specific model, DC Rainmaker on YouTube/website does extremely detailed reviews and comparisons.

DC Rainmaker is great! Garmin also has so many models out right now that I think it is getting confusing. Lots of the features are starting to overlap, where I think the beginner and intermediate runner watches are really close in terms of features.

yes - it's Amazon's clearance or whatever you want to call it.. Amazon owns it though. This watch is not on clrearance though. The watch is a great one! I have the Venu 2plus, this is a newer version.. search youtube for Venu 3 / 3s, by DCrainmaker or DesFit -both of those guys are great & go over all the features..

What are the music and podcast options for Garmin? I read Spotify offline has been failing lately for Garmin.

How is the BT pairing to headphones (airpods)? I'm considering moving from an Apple Watch, which I love except for the battery life. My use case is fitness (mostly running) while listening to podcasts and/or music, sleep in offline mode, and general health tracking. I don't bring my phone when running.

Can you or others with experience on both platforms chime in?
