Not even close to true about ebay. It depends on what you're looking for. The heart and soul of ebay has always been used items. It's like an online swap meet or thrift store. I've bought hundreds of items over the past decade with mostly good luck. I've also sold a few dozen of my own used items including electronics.

Thanks OP, got it on my Blue Cash Preferred. This is probably due to Ebay no longer accepting Amex cards, and the way around that is paying via PayPal with your Amex card.
