How is this different to the other one? I think this is just $50 more but it looks like the same laptop

That is 16" and this is 14.5".
That's also the Triton series which is Acer's top gaming lineup.

Depends on your preference for the size.
The 16" has the 140W 4070 while this has it at 125W (to control thermals and battery life). The former would have better cooling as well.
Both are good deals in their own size category.

Oooh, tempting. I don't have any recent experience with Acer laptops. How do they fall on the spectrum? I'm also looking at Lenovo (as generally being pretty solid) and Asus (as generally being a "cross your fingers and hope you never have to deal with warranty" situation) laptops. This is slightly more than the other price points I was looking at, but for a 14" with 32GB and a 4070, I'd pay it if it's worth it.

As far as competition I bought a Legion Slim 5 16" with 4070 that I liked overall but returned for the poor screen, and I have a 14" Slim 5 with 4060 coming to replace it. Worried about stepping down to the 4060 and also a bit about the soldered 16GB RAM (the 32GB version seems nowhere to be found), for about $400 less than this - is this worth the bump up in price? Or is a ROG G14 or G16 a better buy? (Though also stuck with 16GB RAM).
