After owning this Tapo for two weeks, I agree it has better video quality and also AI detection than Eufy.
I installed one outside my garage (top corner/Northern Illinois) on Jan 30 . The quality of the video is better than my Eufy pro2 battery/hardwired .. only issue I have is a Wi-Fi sensitivity. The Eufy connect a lot faster and no buffering issue . Both are connected to a Tp-link mesh router 9plus. Thinking about installing a moca the strengthen the Wi-Fi in the room above the garage maybe that will help.
I love these - they have awesome builtin AI no sub required and native rtsp support if you want to connect to your nvr for better storage options.

I've had one of these mounted outside for several months now and am very impressed with the video quality and AI especially compared to Eufy, but as the first poster said and as many people will say if you look at the various posts for these they're not ideal Wi-Fi antenna wise so you will occasionally have buffering issues or the like even if you have good Wi-Fi coverage I've noticed the ethernet plugged in ones (specifically the PTZ qhd one) do not have the same issue. In my particular case the camera is about 20ft from my outside wifi AP and the device shows a good connection.

My only downside note (aside from WiFi) is for areas with high wind this camera is easier to move than I would like so I've had to reposition the one on the back fence about three times (easy to do), the more protected one on the porch has not been affected by the winds (we get 50+mph gusts on the regular here, so when I say high winds they are in fact proper winds that will also blow open unsecured gates and move stuff around).

Absolutely no complaints with these cameras especially versus my eufy ones as they record 24/7 in 2k+ and don't detect non moving objects as movement (you can also play streams from multiple cameras at the same time unlike eufy.) for deciding how large of a memory card to use their website might be helpful: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/3048/ (qhd is 4mp for the chart of continuous recording.)

Good intro camera for those not too technologically savvy. I bought one last week and installed it within 15 minutes before leaving to catch a flight. Satisfied.

This works with homekit using the onvif plugin on Scrypted. Great camera for the price.

Daytime video quality is very good, night vision is good but it picks up glare from various objects when compared to other brands (to be fair those are expensive compared to this little guy). Having said that, WiFi is very iffy, I had a very bad experience with WiFi connectivity even when the camera was kept within 3 feet of the router. Good value for the money, fun little camera, but I would not install in a critical spot without a backup system.

Anyone know of a window mount for these? Trying to replace a bunch of Wyze Cam v3s.

They'll magnetically connect, or there's an adhesive pad, and a metal plate you can stick to anything with the adhesive pad.

Did you try downgrading the video to 1080p instead of 2K ?

Are these better than the v3's?

Switched from Wyze to Tapo with several of these cams. The Tapo app and camera are much better than Wyze. Very satisfied with the switch!
