Until you want to use accessories that don't play nice with a hinged lid. The cook surface on the weber is 363 square inches and this member mark one says it is 390 square inches. So I'm not sure you'll easily find a new grate, for instance, in 5 years when you inevitably need to replace your rusty grate where the porcelain enamel has chipped off. Also, the Weber lid has a temperature gauge. When I see things like this Member's Mark, I see a lot of bells and whistles that help them sell a grill, but I question its longevity. Webers have changed their design on kettle grills very little over that decades, have readily available spare parts, and a huge ecosystem of compatible 3rd party accessories. Personally, I'd go for a used Weber Performer before I'd go for this.

I have this bbq and my grate broke. I replaced it with one that had close dimensions, but it didn't fit. I went to Home Depot and bought 90 degree angle stainless steel bracket. Works fine. Smoked a tritip and burgers the other day.

I would give it another month. You'll see these for $50 less. Sam's clearance these every year for $150. If you're lucky maybe $99

I've had this thing for a few years now. The cover is still holding up. There is no rust.

I've seen people's comment that this will go down further more in Thanksgiving time. Also, they claimed that it's hard to find replacement parts. I have friend who has this grill it's nice but when it comes to look for replacement parts... good luck.. But it's nice grill compare to the price you pay.

It's very good. I think it's 22.5 inches. Comes with two charcoal baskets and a very nice cover.

Honestly looks nicer than the weber performer. I have the weber and it's so cheap on Weber's part not to do a proper hinged lid instead of their lame hinge holder that winds up obscuring half of your cooking surface.

It was at this price last month. Keep waiting and it'll become cheaper. Not many are buying at $200.

I bought it two or three years ago for around $150. It's definitely a quality grill but I find loading briquettes and lighting them is a bit awkward. Also, it seems to impart a smokier flavor than I was expecting no matter how I cook on it. For those reasons I use my Weber kettle or Spirit II more often than this one.

This is true. It also works as a wind sail and catches all the smoke from the grill and kicks it back into your face. I wish they just kept the hook inside the lid.

It is as big as the full size Weber my in-laws just got. Plus it has a full cart with storage, top and pull out garbage can, and comes with nice cast iron grill grates. I really like mine.

I've been using it for a while and it's great for my use case. Definitely made the charcoal experience so much easier (takes around 10 mins to start charcoal with the gas assist lighter). Would definitely recommend this.

Always been interested in this grill.
Does anyone know if a slow n' sear deluxe that works in a 22" Weber kettle would work in this?

It should fit just fine. Assuming it's a 22.5" diameter grate (or close to it) like the standard Weber kettle, it'll fit just fine.
