Costco is 90 days return on this, Amazon is only 15 days. Costco has a free extended warranty to two years from date of purchase. You can also get 2% more cash back with their credit card or many others, for a total of 4%. I think the Costco option is way better but to each their own.

I was surprised too. I ordered one from Costco today. If you have a Costco membership then it's hands down the best policies with returns and warranty, especially if you have the executive membership for 2% cash back.

I should have waited i got the m3 non pro 16gb ram with 1tb ssd for 1849 a couple of months ago. I wonder if I should exchange for this one and just use an external ssd.

I would exchange, unless you really need that extra space. There is also the 16" pro 512 gb for $150 more than you paid, which I think is a better deal. Prices have really come down across the board this last month so there is almost certainly a better deal out there now.

Thanks I did need the space since i had a photo library like 500gb on an external spinning usb drive that made me very nervous.

I picked up the Best Buy deal over a week ago and then just price matched to the new, lower price.

I had a 2020 8GB/512GB MacBook Air that served me well for the last several years. I could have been happy to stay with that but the drop in price for these Pro machines pushed me into a new one.

For most day-to-day activities, it is no faster, but I do notice a speed increase in video manipulations. I'm happy.

Is this better than the 15" MBA for the same price? Is the trade off of a having a heavier computer worth the little extra performance boost? I doubt I'd be doing much video editing or heavy usage in general.

There's a reddit post about someone receiving a box of batteries instead of their MacBook pro. There's some issues with distribution side of the chain.

Some recommend shipping to the warehouse and open it in front of an employee.

The weight difference is only 0.1 pounds. I would take this because it should perform better for longer and also have higher trade-in/resale value. I do like bigger screens though 🤷.
