So is this the same thing as Samsung Odyssey G6 (G60SD)?? Do they use the same panels and stuff? Trying to decide which one to buy because Samsung is also $50 off on Amazon right now

Thought DP1 .4 and HDMI 2.1 had near the same bandwidth, but DP can do 360hz?

Purchased and returned. Coming from one of the dell $200 IPS 2K monitors. Everyone talked about how much better the color was, for me the difference was marginal at best. And the text was definitely worse. Darks looked better but barely.
I'd hold out till LG changes the sub pixels and releases a 4K 27" oled (slated for next year) because then at least you improve your text quality in addition to the better (albeit only slightly) colors.
What refresh rate was your $200 Dell IPS? and what refresh rate is that new LG OLED going to be? If it aint at least 240hz then you are comparing apples to oranges.

Right the dell was 165hz, the next oled probably 240hz as that's what they released this year.

Yes this is a better monitor (except for text clarity which is worse), but so marginally so. My point was for people on the fence that already have a decent 2K monitor is that this isn't much of a step up. A couple of differences but it won't blow your mind.

You bring up a good point. This monitor is designed for gaming and streaming video. An IPS monitor will have sharper text and is a better choice in an office environment.

Man, I can't believe I'm considering this. I already have a aw3423dwf, and an HP x27q accompanying it. This monitor would replace the x27q. I like having an IPS like the x27q available because I can leave any windows I want up on it and I don't have to worry about burn in. Having the $50 off $250 Amex deal makes it enticing, but I guess I can't justify it.

Yes, Dell uses Samsung for their QD-OLED panels. But Dells implementation has been better received (typically) and their warranty and Customer Service is usually far better too.
