Don't forget to register the watch with Casio. They often extend the warranty one more year if your register it online. To be honest, is not like you will need that warranty anyways.

Good point especially in this watch. I've had this watch since 2013 and no issues.

This is true but you have to consider the price, buyer and intended use. It takes 5 seconds to recalibrate to the right time once a month. Not a big deal for the price.

I have the solar version of this one (Model GW-M5610). I bought it with a dead battery, replaced the battery and it's been sitting on my windowsill ever since if anyone is interested in it. Crystal is flawless, basically looks new.

I think you got a dud, it maybe a second or two but 30 no. Most everything else hides seconds these days but I haven't noticed it drift in a long while so its not much.

I have the 5000u version, my favorite but I don't want to wear it to work. Missed it on the last deal few weeks so since I was thinking it over. Bought it this time since it's a bit cheaper. Hopefully I get the new version with the led light.

I got over not having the nostalgia of EL pretty quick. the LED is nice and bright and is supposed to be more efficient than EL so should theoretically get you some more battery life from using the light. The good thing about the LED version is it has some good quality of life updates like the ability to change date format, and being able to see current time while using the stopwatch and countdown timer

It'll fluctuate since it technically retails for $150, but it drops to ~$100 often. For example, right now on Amazon it's $103 (https://www.amazon.com/Casio-G-Sh...B007RWZHXO)

Strangely enough, Kohls can be a great store for these as well - they run those 40% off coupons from time to time and it works for G-Shocks (and Seikos!)
I used that for my 5610 a year or so back, and got it for around 80 bucks.
