Qlc is not the best right....pretty close to the $150/4tb strike point I was aiming for.

Depends on how many cameras you have writing to it . check reviews to see what the write speed drops to after that SLC cache fills up.

Should be good for data storage or a steam game drive, so long as longevity is good.

SATA III, way slower than NVME / PCIe
This drive has quite a low TBW rating (900TBW, which equates to 225 full disk writes)

I need a 4tb for storage. Should I get this or a traditional hard drive that spins?

It's lacking in write durability.

dont think it's a good idea to use a SSD for constant writes. after X number of writes for a cell, its operation is not guaranteed.

Everyday use you wouldn't really notice the difference in speed

If you're just wanting it for things that you're going to access every day and it's not the end of the world if the drive fails at some point, I would get this.
If it's for important files that you want to hold on to long term/forever, then I would store them on a pair of mechanical 5400 rpm hard drives for redundancy.

Tempting. I've been looking for an affordable way to max out my PS4's internal storage.

I am considering the KingSpec SSD 4TB Internal Solid State Drive 2.5 Inch SATA III 3D NAND Flash [newegg.com]instead; it has double the TBW and a $10 Newegg card (expires in a year). Still thinking about it.

Not doing it, lots of poor reviews on this one.

I tried Teamgroup a few months ago, drive lasted less than a month and would not read. Luckily I had an active backup on standard drive.
