It all depends on the environment they're kept in. If you don't have a humidor, I would store them in a cool, dark place. 60/65 degrees and 65/68 humidity is ideal. They will last years if kept in an environment like this, but a humidor would be ideal, even if it was a small one.

If the person does not have a humidor, they can toss one of the "transmidity" bags in their cart for $5 on checkout (listed as "optional upgrades to consider" in the checkout process prior to submitting order). I used one of these to maintain humidity prior to using a tupperdor. Still use it for my overflow that does not fit until more space in the tupperdor
