Just bought the dual probe TempSpike and one of the probes doesn't work! It's really hit or miss with these products but my friend has the single probe TS and it works flawlessly. I'd go for it.

I've used one of these for over a year on dozens of cooks. I like it a lot. My only gripe is the range is not awesome. But otherwise, the app and accuracy are good. It has been very helpful. I use a Traeger.

Unlike the horrible meater, this probe has Bern 100% reliable and proven to be accurate, both internal and ambient, when tested against the pricier ThermoWorks internal and ambient probes. I have used it in my offset smoker, pellet smokers, and ovens with zero temperature or connectivity issues.

So this stays in the oven or grill with the meat? Just curious how the internal battery is able to withstand that heat?

I have the competing ChefIQ probes. The secret is that the electronics are in the metal part that goes in the meat. By the nature of well…cooking…that part will never exceed 200F, well within the limits of electronics. If you do exceed 200F it is kinda your fault though and the meat is ruined anyways.

Will it work in a foil wrapped turkey or roast?

I don't see BOGO on the probes at this link. They do throw in a few additional items but not a 2nd probe, unless I'm reading this site wrong.

I've used meat thermomers a little over 200 intentionally.

Sweet potatoes and boil test calibration are two use cases at the top of my head.

Yes. It is difficult to use and the range of connection is bad. I returned mine.

We have had ours for few months now. Been using it a lot, works great. Very easy to use. No issues.
