It asks to pay - $125 for the first month with the Metro flex plus plan. It will be $70 per month from next month with auto pay.

What will be the breakage be in the first $125 bill? Will it show plan cost ($75) and device cost ($50) separately? Can someone give some example?

Context: my office reimburses $100 a month but only for carrier charges and not the device cost. So I want to make sure that bill has the right split and I can reimburse $75.
It's prepaid so you pay for the service when you order the phone.
The order email will clearly show the breakdown.

No, it's prepaid. You activate first month then let it die.

Considering the $75 tier has Prime idk why yall aren't using it, strange.
If you don't pay after 1st month, your prime membership will stop

I need suggestions. I am eligible for trade in with bestbuy the iPhone 12 device. I have an unlock device with 86% battery health. I chose that for trade in. My deivce is Blue color and the metro device is black.

Should I trade in the unlock 86% battery life device? Or should I trade in this 100% battery life black new locked device? I dont need the phone, but I anticipate using the 12 after 365 day unlock, so not a bad idea. But given a choice I would rather use the unlocked iPhone 12 now...

Did you ever encounter an error when trying to complete this 2nd order to "Add a new Line"? I'm doing the same - i.e. add a 2nd iPhone 12 line, trying to port-in a number from Google Voice.

But after entering the Port-in details and payment details and reaching the final page where I click "I agree to T&C" and hit "Make the payment", I'm presented with a page that says:

Metro CC couldn't help - I've been dealing with at least 6 hours worth of CC calls over 4 days - between CC and Port-in departments and 5-6 times attempting to place a new order - and I'm nearly about to give up on this.

I know the URL says payment reject, but my CC shows a charge for $90 and then an immediate reversal - a real payment rejection shouldn't show up at all, right? Also this is the same payment card I successfully used for the 1st line.

Is there any insight you could provide on how you navigated that?
I was expecting an error but it went through with ease. FWIW, I ordered the first phone on my iPad and the second 10 days later on my iPhone. Both shipped to the same address. Also, I haven't ordered from Metro in over a year. Idk if that's what caused it to go through?

After I placed the order, I tried to use the phone number and the pin I created during the order process to log in Metro. But Metro said it cannot find my account. Is it normal?

So the phone be unlocked after 1 year, my guess if it's not activated it'll stay locked (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

No, it will be unlocked, most probably after 180 days. But if the FCC rules holds true, then after 60 days.

Oh cool, then I can keep it sealed without going through unboxing it, turning it on, and receiving the activation SMS?

That guy was going to trade the iPhone. Should at least check that it works, could be DOA.

$75 is also a lot of money to burn. Might as well activate the line so you can port the number out, and use T-Mobile Tuesday. MetroPCS changed their policy to 1 year for unlock.

Take both for trade in. Try the Metro first. Show them just the screen with the IMEI without going any further. It's on the hello screen by pressing the little "i" in the corner. It should work without a hitch, even if it's Metro. The black shouldn't be a provlem either, since most associates don't really check in my experience. I plan on trading in a locked Metro device later today.

If they object, somehow, have the blue one on hand or say you came with the wrong one, leave, come back 30 minutes later with the blue one and proceed with that

Anyone has difficulties porting in from tracfone? I have the correct info verified by calling tracfone but number transfer online keeps failing.

No, it will be unlocked after 1 year. It is on their website.

Metro by T-Mobile's approach to device unlocking

Once a device becomes eligible for unlocking (eligibility requirements are described below), Metro by T-Mobile will automatically and remotely unlock the device within two business days if the device supports remote unlock.

Some devices cannot be remotely unlocked by Metro by T-Mobile. In these cases, Metro by T-Mobile will send a notification to the device within two business days of it becoming eligible, with next steps to complete the unlock process.

If you received a notification that your device is eligible to be unlocked, and you need instructions for completing the unlocking process, click here.

Unlock eligibility requirements

We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date.
