Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

OK, I already have activated 2 lines on 2 new iPhone-12 phones and all is good and nothing is pending from "activation" point of view! So, I just tried for the 3rd line (with a new CC) but still got this message:-"Please contact us to complete your order.Your security is important to us. Unfortunately can't complete your order online. Our award-winning Mobile Experts are ready to assist you. Please call us or visit a store to continue."So I called them and spent almost an hour and the only outcome is, they "can't see my 3rd order so I have to go to the store" and I was like "forget it, I ain't going nowhere"...lolA long story short,if it fails online, better to just forget about it !Store is gonna be a painful experience, no doubt abt that !
Using a different shipping address and CC works

I'm having no luck.

One of the iPhone 12 with Metro app keeps throwing an error/troubleshooting message when trying to login to account.

The other logged in successfully, but when I attempt to switch phones after entering in IMEI and EID, it keeps on prompting me to switch plans.

Been trying to get the plan off one of the iPhone 12 to my iPhone SE, iPhone 12 Pro, or Galaxy S24U.
I am on a different boat. My Google voice number transferred successfully . Outgoing calls and internet works fine on iphone 12 but incoming calls are still going to old phone. How to fix that?

Just activated my phone and now want to trade it in. Do I need to erase my esim before trade-in with the best buy? What will happen to the esim? Can I still use it with a different phone or is it dead? TIA.

Either wait or call Metro supposedly... I still have that issue as well - maybe that's why I can't transfer? No idea...

If Google Voice # doesn't port successfully, what will happen?

I haven't tried to switch phones yet.
But what I am thinking is since the iPhone 12 activates on eSIM, using the 2nd IMEI - IMEI2, when switching to another phone, this phone needs to support eSIM, and use this phone's IMEI2 too.

I transferred the eSIM to a physical SIM using the website and reused the SIM from my tablet, which I deactivated when I ported the tablet's number out of Metro.

When I port GV to Metro, this always happens. Incoming still goes to GV, from my experience it eventually completes the port after almost a month. Since I'm not using the service I didn't really effect me. One problem is if you try to port out the now Metro number. Since it has not completed yet, GV is still considered the owner and will fail the port as the first port is still in progress.
Metro will send a email when the port completes successfully. We'll only have a few days to port out since the month of service is almost over.

Factory reset should wipe the esim. Even if it doesn't, shouldn't matter

The question is whether you want to transfer the esim to another phone. Metro ties the SIM to an IMEI number so you need to do it online

I personally transferred before trading in the phone - - and you can only do it before trading it in and with esim active, because you need the text message to log in to Metro account. My reason was to be able to order the Samsung tablet (deal now dead) and monitor the account generally via online Metro login

(re)porting out of GV also fails

You have to call them. As long as you can see your GV number under GV settings the transfer hasn't been completed. When you call Metro, they will complete the transfer manually and the GV number will get deleted immediately from the GV account and you will also get an email from GV about it.

Other than GV, any good sources for numbers to port in? I've bought them off 'bay in the past, but they seem to have clamped down on those listings.

Good one. I didn't know metro SIM card could be reused.
