Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

So I got it and used GV. Now it looks like port didn't go through but does it mean that i cannot even login to account as it requires a PIn which i don't have. Did we have to create a PIN while ordering? i don't remember. Is everyone facing same situation? I see there is discussion about going to store so apologies if this has been discussed. Any one has any solution?
They require you select an 8-digit pin when ordering for new accounts -- existing accounts adding a line just use their existing pin

Thanks. I was trying my usual and it worked eventually and sent me code to login. One note in my account i tried to change PIN and every time it error but it looks like it changed the pin. Confusing. Thank god i had the last one copied. I am able to login. If i call i see my GV number but call to that number goes to GV.

GV port normally takes 1mo after online activation -- you can call them if you actually care about using their service otherwise leave it alone if you don't:

One last call before they go back to Apple! A few people contacted me earlier but none was close to me. I live in Northern Virginia outside of DC and will only meet in person for the exchange. Cost to you is half of the difference between what I paid and what you paid to Metro. PM me if you're interested.
This is a good idea for those looking to get iPhone 12 unlocked, but so few actually around that'd meet all those requirements, ha

I bought the first phone with GV ported in. After 3-4 days, call out/text in both work but phone call in still goes to GV. So, my question is, if I dont care about the GV number (I can just generate a new one and dont care about the one ported to Metro), does completing the porting even matter since the wireless activation with Apple server has already occurred? Likewise, if I dont care abou tthe 30 day plan, is there any reason to use the Metro app to move the esim to another phone? thanks

When can we cancel the Metro line and not lose the phone?

Auto-pay should be off by default.

It's a big country I guess. The closest response I got last time was 5 hours away! Tried to see if there's any bartering on the local FB marketplace and Craigslist but couldn't find any. Very surprised at how much people are asking for their used iPhone 12. Could make good money if I didn't have the need for eligible trade-in devices with my carrier.

Sorry If this question was answered already but I tried to search this and I can not find it.
For my 2nd Iphone 12, do i need to activate it first and delete the esim prior to selling?

If you're selling it to someone who expects to use Metro service with it, yes, go ahead and port your Metro SIM to an unlocked or other Metro phone IMEI slot. Otherwise, don't bother. I didn't with the A9+ I bought and gave away as wifi only device. With the A35 coming in soon, I'll change the IMEI to which the SIM it's tied to another IMEI in unused unlocked phone I have and then sell. Or just wait 30 days. After you stop paying, IMEI should be freed up to be used by another Metro plan

Just tried to buy the Iphone 12 online. It says It is unavailable online and recommending to Go To Store. Per past experience; Metro Store Employees are worse than nightmare. I Guess Deal is now Dead.

Got the same error message too. I'll keep an eye on Metro's site later, as of now, they're still advertising the deal.

I just ordered one, so the deal still works. Your shipping address is probably blocked on their side. Try a different address.
